AIC's Emad Kiyaei discusses the impact of the nuclear deal on human rights in Iran

In this brief interview with Al Jazeera America, AIC Executive Director Emad Kiyaei is asked about the human rights situation in Iran, and expresses his hope that the nuclear agreement will eventually change the behavior of Iran's government. He says, "It has to become a more responsible state. And I hope that throughout, as we see how the sanctions are removed and Iran opens up its economy, its society, it will trickle down to at least influence the policymakers in Iran to address these other issues. It becomes the opportunity cost for the Iranian government, it just becomes higher when you have an economy which is interconnected with the world..."
