AIC's Emad Kiyaei discusses with Al Jazeera America the historic nuclear agreement between the P5+1 and Iran
/In this interview with Al Jazeera America, AIC Executive Director Emad Kiyaei provides his thoughts on the nuclear deal with Iran. When asked if he was optimistic that Iran does not want a nuclear bomb, Kiyaei points out, "If there was a smoking gun that Iran wants a nuclear weapon, we would have had it in the past 12 years in all of these negotiations [that] have been going on. The fact that after so many years, there hasn't been a viable indication Iran is seeking nuclear weapons indicates that Iran is actually trying to make sure that it can build trust with the world..." He later emphasizes how stringent the nuclear agreement's terms are, and how difficult it would be for Iran to divert material to build a nuclear weapon.
